One of the most beloved parts of a muscle car is its sound, more specifically, the rumble of the V8 engine and the roar it creates when accelerating. There are plenty of different exhaust systems on the market for the Ford Mustang GT, each with its own changes made to the sound of the vehicle. It's simply a matter of preference and desire for how loud one wants their car to be. Enter the new Cat-Back Exhaust System from Steeda, which aims to amplify the performance and sound of the 5.0L Coyote V8 engine in the 2018-2022 Mustang. That means it's compatible with the S550 Mustang GT, Mustang Bullitt, and Mustang Mach 1.

The 3″ diameter Steeda Cat-Back Exhaust system gives the Ford Mustang GT a deep, rugged, and powerful sound. The system is designed to fit to the stock system and fits most long tube headers. The 5.0L Coyote V8 can obtain maximum horsepower with the help of the oversized 3″ tubing diameter, which provides better flow and an excellent sound without any annoying drone.

The new Steeda S550 Ford Mustang Cat-Back Exhaust System is constructed from 304-stainless steel for better than OE equivalent corrosion resistance. Additionally, the quad tips of the exhaust are made from polished 304 stainless steel to provide a timeless appearance. Steeda claims that installing the system will only take around 2-3 hours using standard hand tools and can be completed within the comfort of one's own garage.

Pricing for the Steeda Cat-Back Ford Mustang GT Exhaust system usually comes in at $1,499, but as of the time of writing, there's a sale that shaves off $225 from the price bringing it to $1,274. Steeda plans on making another video later down the line, showing installation along with dyno numbers to give a better idea of the performance gains. But, of course, a final decision can only be made for the exhaust system after first giving it a listen.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Ford Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
